Filming

Today we filmed a huge amount footage for our music video. We.filmed the footage at the NCP car park in Bexleyheath. The filming was successful as we were able to film a lot of shots from different angles. I did most of the filming whilst Megan, Laura, Helen and Amy were acting. Also, the lighting was bright enough as well, which was a problem that we have been experiencing since we first started filming. Below are some screen shots from the footage we filmed.

PHOTOSHOOT!!

Today we did a photoshoot, which involved us taking pictures for our digipack. The girls changed into two different costumes for he photoshoot, in which for the first part, where we took individual photos/ photos in pairs they were wearing moore causal clothing. Whereas, in the group photos they changed into oufits that were more'dressy'. Overall the photoshoot went really well as we got a range of shots of them from different angles and we alos tried various different ideas in order to get good shots. Today Amy made crime boards for our video. She designed them on photoshop, using three different designs. One containing the name of the group, the other containing the name of the song and the other just including 'Police Department'. We plan to use this for the end of our video, which we plan to film next Thursday. Below are the

We also are using Olly Murs' video 'Dance With Me Tonight' as an intertextual reference as theme of the crime boards is used at the beginning of his video.

Editing for our Music Video..

Below our some screen shots of our music video. So far the editing has been quite successful. Though, I have found it quite challenging using Fina lCut Pro as it is quite an advanced application but with some lessons from Amy and the media technician at school, I found it a bit easier to use.

Ideas for our Video..

We researched into crime boards that prisoners have as we want to incorporate this within our video. Each band member will hold their own board . Some of the boards will have 'Studded Roses' on them whilst the other will have 'Scandalous' on them'. Currently we are designing a template for our board. Below are some pictures as to the idea we want to feature in our video.

Filming..

Tuesday, 29th November 2011, we filmed Laura's rapping scene. We filmed her scene in the car, shot from four different angles. The lighting that we had was rather useful as it did not make the scenes too dark. We also filmed her walking up the street lip-syncing to the song. Overall, I believe the filming was quite successful.

Friday, 25th November 2011

Today we filmed quite a lot elements for our musicvideo at Megan's house. Overall, some bits of the filming were successful whilst others weren't. The scenes we filmed were Laura's scene with Adam in the car, this did not prove quite as successful as the streets were too dark at that time and the lighting that we had withus was not sufficient enough to make the scene brighter. Therefore, this resulted in the filming becoming too dark and it made it unclear what was actually happening in the car scene with Adam and Laura. Secondly, we also filmed Megan and Ermal's scene on the red backdrop. I think out of all the scenes we shot that night this was the most successful as the lightingwas accurate and the scene was in sync with the music and we also shot the scenefrom many different angles. However, whilst shooting Laura's scene in the car we found that the lighting was a major issue, as the streets were really dark as it was rather late and also the lights that we had brought were not sufficient enough. We filmed Amy's scenewhilst interrogating Joe which was still really dark. We also filmed Helen's part of the video which went alright.

Intertextual Reference...

We have decided to use this new advert for Rimmel's new mascara 'Scandal' as an intertexual reference to be used within our video. We feel it suits our video and it also goes well with the theme.

Shooting (Part 1)

On Friday, 11th November Amy, Laura and Megan went to film Amy's section of the music video at NCP car park in the evening. I could not film with them due to unforeseen circumstances but the filming went well overall. Below are some pictures from the shooting.

Today we presented our pitch to our media class involving:

• Brief details about our band/artist, including which record label they're signed to, what their ideology is and who their target audience is.
• Synopsis of the video, including details of performance and/or narrative elements, location shots, costume images

Developing our logo...

Today Amy has continued developing our logo.We did originally like the font we used and also the studs used. However, we felt that the the rose looked too plain as it was just white and it did not add much to the logo. So, we changed the colour of the rose to red and now I feel that it stands out more.
